- How much does flooring installation cost in the Houston area?
- It depends on the material, the square footage, and how much prep your slab needs. Supplied and installed, luxury vinyl plank typically runs $5–$9 per square foot, tile $10–$20, and engineered hardwood $9–$16 — those numbers include the material, the delivery, and the labor, because that's how we quote. Labor-only rates are lower if you'd rather buy your own material. Either way the figure is confirmed in writing at a free in-home measure, not guessed over the phone.
- Do you supply the flooring, or just install it?
- Both — and supplying it is what most of our customers choose. We help you pick the material, order it, have it delivered, and install it, all on one quote from one company. That means one number, one schedule, and one person responsible if a box arrives damaged or a dye lot doesn't match. You're also welcome to buy your own material and hire us for installation only; plenty of customers do, and we'll tell you honestly whether what you picked will hold up on your slab.
- Why buy the material through you instead of a flooring store?
- We don't operate showrooms, so you aren't paying for retail floor space in your square-foot price. You still get to see and handle samples — we bring them to your house at the measure, in your own light, next to your own cabinets and trim, which is a better way to choose a floor than a fluorescent-lit showroom anyway. And because the same company supplies and installs, nobody gets to blame the other one if something goes wrong.
- Who handles delivery, and what if the material is damaged?
- We do. Material is ordered, delivered, and staged for install as part of the job — you don't need to arrange freight, take delivery, or store pallets in your garage. We inspect every shipment on arrival and check dye lots across boxes before installation starts. If something is damaged or short, that's our problem to fix, not yours to chase with a supplier.
- How long does a typical install take?
- A single-room vinyl plank job is usually one day. A whole first floor runs two to four days. Tile takes longer because of mortar and grout cure time, and hardwood refinishing needs three to five days including finish cure. You get a firm schedule at the measure, not a guess.
- Do you move the furniture?
- Yes, standard furniture is included. Pianos, gun safes, pool tables, and anything else needing specialty equipment we'll quote separately or coordinate with a mover.
- Why do so many Houston-area floors fail?
- Almost always moisture and prep. Slab-on-grade foundations in this region push vapor up through the concrete, and an installer who skips moisture testing to save an afternoon hands you a floor that cups, peaks, or delaminates within a couple of years. We test every slab before we install and mitigate when the readings call for it.
- Are you licensed and insured?
- Texas does not license flooring contractors, which is exactly why you should ask about insurance. We carry general liability and workers' compensation, and we'll send certificates before we start. Ask every bidder for the same — a lot of them can't produce it.
- How far do you travel?
- For residential work we cover roughly a 100-mile radius from Houston, in every direction — not just the north side. That means Houston itself inside and outside the Beltway, Katy and Fulshear to the west, Sugar Land, Missouri City and Richmond to the southwest, Pearland and Alvin to the south, League City and Friendswood on the bay, Pasadena, Deer Park and Baytown to the east, and Spring, Tomball, Cypress, Kingwood, Humble, The Woodlands, Conroe, Magnolia, Willis and Montgomery to the north. For commercial projects we mobilize crews nationwide.
- Do you do commercial work?
- Yes, and it's a significant part of what we do. Our crews have installed in high-rises, retail centers, offices, hospitality, and gaming properties. If you're a general contractor or facility manager, our commercial page has the capability statement and a direct RFP intake.
